Kathleen understands that clients are often uncertain about how or where to begin in therapy, and she encourages the development of positive emotions, feelings, and healthy outcomes. Together, she works with clients to find workable solutions and common ground to build upon and make changes. Kathleen believes that negative thoughts often lie at the foundation of our problems and conflict. She gives tools and techniques to become more self-aware by examining the thoughts that proceed the behaviors, emotions, and feelings. Relationships are incredibly difficult, and Kathleen knows that everyone has their own perception of what is transpiring. Kathleen strives to find the commonality between parties in order to diffuse conflict and restore balance. She truly wants what is best for her clients, and even when a relationship is going through a transition, it can be done with respect and dignity.

Kathleen received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Amberton University. She is certified in Basic Mediation and Family Law Mediation and has completed specific training in the area of Parent Facilitation and Parent Coordination. While in pursuit of her graduate degree, Kathleen worked alongside a forensic therapist and gained extensive training and experience in the area of family law and high-conflict relationships.
